31.5 million Americans expected to bet on Super Bowl

(KYMA, KECY/ NBC News) - A record number of Americans are expected to bet on this year's Super Bowl in Los Angeles.

The American Gaming Association estimates 31.5 million Americans will wager and over $7.6 billion will be bet in total.

Since last year's big game, 45 million additional people will be able to bet on the game between the Los Angeles Rams and the Cincinnati Bengals. That's because more states have legalized sports betting over the last year.

30 states plus Washington D.C. offer it.

The Rams and the Bengals face off this Sunday in Los Angeles at 6:30 p.m. Eastern.
