Criminals baseball falls to Buckeye

April 26th, 2021

YUMA, Ariz., (KYMA, KECY) - In a Spring baseball season that featured it's share of peaks and valleys, the Yuma Criminals are vying to finish the last 6 games on a strong note.

In their 1st game against section foe Buckeye, the Crims got off to a decent start in that effort.

Within the 1st 3 innings of the contest, the Navy and White took scored the 1st run of the game, thanks to a Justin Bouts RBI.

Starting pitcher Damian Cabrera also got off to a good start, as he kept the Hawks off the scoreboard through 3 innings of play.

But, Cabrera would then struggle, as the Crims would give up 6 runs to the Hawks and would hit a wall offensively for the rest of the afternoon, in their 6-1 loss.

Yuma will next play a 2-game series against Gila Ridge that begins on Wednesday night at Doan Field.

The opening pitch will be at 6 pm.
