(CNN, KYMA) - Actor Danny Glover says he has Alzheimer's diseases, according to an interview that aired on the "Today Show" Wednesday.

The 79-year-old "Lethal Weapon" and "Predator 2" actor star told the program he's been living with it for several years.

Glover, who won the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award back in 2021, said he has strong family support as he faces the brain diagnosis.

The Alzheimer's Association says more than seven million Americans live with the diseases.
