Tracking cooler than normal temperatures and drier conditions

I am tracking cooler than normal temperatures for the next few days before triple-digits move back in. We are also in for drier, and plenty of sunshine for the days ahead.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- We had some strong storms moved in overnight in eastern Yuma County and La Paz County which brought heavy rainfall and winds. Take a look at the areas that received measurable rain from this morning.

Today is a clearer and drier day with FANTASTIC temperatures. Highs were in the low 90s, which is cooler than normal.

For tonight I am tracking clear and drier conditions. It will still be a little breezy, but temperatures will also cool down very nicely through the night. It will be a pleasant and nice evening. Today is also National Coffee Day, great weather to enjoy a cup of hot or iced coffee.

Northerly winds have been keeping us breezy and it will remain breezy at the start of the evening with gusts between 20-30 MPH. Winds will begin to lighten up through the evening.

We are also in for lighter and calmer winds into Wednesday.

As a lower pressure continues to stay in place it will keep our temperatures noticeably cooler and trending below average. As this lower pressure continues to move more east it will take the cooler temperatures and wet weather with it. I am tracking drier and warmer days ahead.

Temperatures will trend cooler than normal through Thursday before warming back into the triple-digits and warmer than normal by later this week and into the weekend.

Also, tracking sunny, clear and comfortably dry conditions for the next several days ahead. It will be a great end to September and nice start to October.
