Taylor Swift is set to become the first woman and non-British citizen to receive the global icon award

(KYMA, KECY/ CNN) - The Brit Awards is the United Kingdom's version of the Grammys.

According to the UK's official charts company, she is this year's biggest selling artist.

The 2021 Brit Awards will take place on Tuesday night.
