Colorado resident shares ‘goodbye shot’ after evacuating from Aspen Acres Fire

CUSTER COUNTY, Colo (CBS, KYMA) - A Colorado resident who said he was the "last man off of the mountain" has shared what he described as the "goodbye shot" after evacuating from the Aspen Acres Fire.

Footage from @CrankyAmerican, who said he was seven miles west of Beulah, Colorado, shows a large plume of smoke billowing from the forest fire.

The Aspen Acres Fire grew to nearly 66,900 acres with 0% containment by Friday, prompting expanded evacuation orders.

According to the Beulah Fire Protection and Ambulance District, residents under evacuation orders should expect to remain away from their homes for several days.
