UPDATE: Brush fire fully contained at West Wetlands Park

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A brush fire chewed through a portion of West Wetlands Park in Yuma on Tuesday afternoon.

Once on the scene, firefighters from the Yuma fire department were able to contain the blaze within 30 minutes.

"We got it contained pretty quick," Battalion Chief Daniel Ott said. "Within 30 minutes we were able to stop it, slow down on zones also. Right now we've got two to three acres affected."

Yuma Fire stayed on scene shortly after to work on hot spots. Fire fire is now fully contained.

Officials say they don't know the cause and that this case is still under investigation.
