Tracking warm temperatures and strong winds for the first weekend of October

Temperatures are going to be warmer than normal this weekend, with lots of sunshine. It will also be breezy and windy into early next week. I am tracking an unseasonable October warm-up next week.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Happy Friday! It's a warm close to the work week as temperatures are trending just slightly above normal and in the upper 90s and triple-digits.

It will be breezy for Yuma County tonight and through early next week. Tracking winds coming from the east/northeast with gusts between 20-30 MPH.

This evening will be clear and dry, with cooling temperatures, but it will be breezy for us here in Yuma County. If you are going to be out and about this Friday night, you will notice the winds.

The days with the strongest winds and will between 30-35 MPH will be on Saturday and Sunday for Yuma County. If you have any outdoor plans, it will be breezy and a little gusty this weekend. Take a look.

A ridge of high pressure will continue to build allowing our temperatures to warm-up especially come next week.

LOOKING AHEAD: On our temperature outlook, the dark red and maroon colors displayed over the Desert Southwest means we can expect well above-normal temperatures next week.

If you are going to Tacos and Tunes on Saturday it will be warm and could get a little gusty. Make sure to lather up on sunscreen and grab your sunglasses it will be sunny. It will still be pretty warm, so remember to practice heat safety by drinking lots of water and taking frequent shade breaks.

I am tracking lots of sunshine and comfortably dry conditions. But our temperatures are going to stay warm with stronger winds for the first weekend of October.
It will stay breezy into early next week and I am tracking an unseasonable warm-up come next week where highs will be in the mid-100s.
