Tracking seasonal temperatures with some changes by the midweek
More active weather is expected to occur around the Desert Southwest, but I am tracking cloudier skies, cooler temperatures, and breezy conditions for Wednesday and Thursday.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Happy Tuesday! I am tracking slightly above-normal temperatures with highs in the low 90s. It's still be a nice and quiet day.
Happy National Chicken and Waffles Day! If you are looking for something to have for dinner, chicken and waffles is a good option. And the weather will be great for dining in or outdoors this evening.
I am tracking a low-pressure system to the west to bring in significant weather that will lead to heavy rain, flooding, and winds, but it is going to be happening around the Desert Southwest.
Take a look at our storm outlook for tomorrow, again a lot of the severe and active weather is forecasting to happen around us.
On our futuretrack hour-by-hour, by tomorrow clouds will increase overnight so we will see some cloudy skies and more of that wet weather will impact around us.
But there are slight chances for a light shower or sprinkle in eastern Yuma County come tomorrow morning and afternoon. Not tracking anything significant.
I am tracking breezy conditions on Wednesday. Yuma County will have winds coming from the east/northeast with gusts between 20-25 MPH. Stronger winds are possible. Make sure to secure any loose and light weight objects.
We have tropical moisture to our south and lower pressure system toward our west that will filter in some moisture. However, I am tracking significant rainfall to occur around us and not expected in the Desert Southwest.
Our impacts for the next few days will be cloudier skies, stronger winds, slightly cooler temperatures, and very slight to no rain opportunities.
Come Thursday, Imperial County is in for some gustier winds, with winds coming from the west and gusts between 30-35 MPH.
I am tracking cooler than normal temperatures for the rest of the week, and we are in for some clouds and stronger winds Wedesday-Thursday.
Come the weekend, we are in for more sunshine, calmer winds, and nice temperatures. We can expect a great weekend ahead.
