Tracking drier conditions and warmer temperatures ahead

Some lingering humidity will carry into the start of the weekend, but I am tracking much drier and warmer days ahead. Temperatures are also going to be warming into the 110s and over by early next week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - Tracking lingering humidity and moisture today. We are still in for isolated and scattered showers and storms again today.

If storms do form this can bring significant rainfall, flooding, lightning, and gusty winds. Make sure to stay weather aware and alert! I will be tracking and bring details throughout the night.

There's also an Air Quality Alert until 10 pm TONIGHT for Imperial County due particle pollution from wind blown dust.

Heading into the evening, temperatures will be great, but it will still be a little humid. Go cool off with a creamsicle for National Creamsicle Day!

Going into the weekend, I am tracking a few passing clouds, but we will continue to dry and clear out in the days ahead.

After a long stretch of high humidity we will have drier air that will begin to filter in the Desert Southwest come this weekend and into early next week.
