Tracking slightly cooler temperatures and stronger winds for Wednesday

It's been a hot start to the week! Thankfully, I am tracking a slow cooling for the rest of the week. It will still be warm, but not as hot. We are also in for much drier conditions, but stronger winds on Wednesday.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - It was a toasty day! Yuma reached 109 degrees this afternoon, and El Centro climbed to 112 degrees. Thankfully, I am today to be the hottest day of the week, and we have slight relief ahead.

It's been another hot and humid day, and that will linger into our evening. We will also see a few clouds, but skies will clear as the night goes on. Dew points will also remain in the high 50s, so it will remain humid.

It will be a great evening to stay inside or maybe do a pool/floatie movie night to stay cool.

Tracking stronger winds moving in tomorrow afternoon, but it will get pretty gusty and dusty by dinner time, especially in Imperial County.

We are in for strong westerly winds with gusts between 25-30 MPH.

We are in for a sunny and drier rest of the week with temperatures slowly cooling down to seasonal levels for Father's Day weekend and for the first official day of Summer.

However, I am tracking intense heat to move in late next week.
