Deliberations begin in Yuma murder trial

Lauren Duffel // KYMA

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - The fate of a Yuma man accused of murder is now in the hands of a jury.

Jurors deliberated throughout the day today in the trial of 40-year-old Nicholas Harder, who is accused of killing 57-year-old Anthony Jordinelli in May 2023.

Harder claims Jordinelli attacked him first and says he acted in self-defense.

During testimony, jurors heard from Harder, who denied planning or intending to kill Jordinelli.

The jury will now weigh the evidence and decide whether Harder acted in self-defense or if the state has proven its case.

Deliberations are expected to continue.
