FIRST ALERT: Tracking wet weather again this week
We have another wet weather system that will arrive by the middle of the week to bring in showers for New Year’s.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Happy Monday, it’s the final Monday of 2025. It’s been a breezy and seasonable start to the week.
Going into the evening, it will be chilly and breezy with gusts between 20-25 MPH.

For Tuesday, we will still remain breezy with winds coming from the north, where the highest wind gusts will be between 20-30 MPH.

Heads up! We have another wet weather pattern moving in by the middle of the week to bring the Desert Southwest more rain to start the New Year.
Rain chances will continue to climb through the week. The highest and wettest day of the week is looking to be on New Year’s Day.

On our futuretrack, we can start to see light showers on New Year’s Eve by the afternoon hours. Tracking more showers to continue into New Year's Day.

With this next round of showers, rain accumulation is possible. Right now, weather modules are reading a tenth of an inch.
Even though these are small amounts still be enough bring some travel concerns and wet roads for your New Year's plans.

It will be breezy and seasonable through Tuesday before wet weather and slightly cooler temperatures arrive by the middle of the week.
A Weather Authority First Alert Action Day will be in effect on New Year's Eve night through New year's Day due to showers.
