FIRST ALERT: Tracking more showers and chillier temperatures later this week
We have another yet third lower pressure system that will bring the Desert Southwest additional showers and colder temperatures later this week.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - We have a third lower pressure system that will move in later this week bringing additional chances for showers and even chillier temperatures.

Skies will clear through the night, but we have pretty chilly temperatures. Nice evening to stay in doors and cozy up by a fire with a blanket while drinking a hot beverage.
Stay warm and bundle up because by tomorrow morning lows will be in the low 50s and mid to upper upper 40s.

In the days ahead we have chances for rain, but right now, the highest day is looking Friday and into Saturday morning for widespread showers.

Showers are expected to move in late Thursday night for Imperial County and it will eventually make its way to Yuma County later in the night.

Things will become more widespread Friday morning and will continue on and off throughout the day.
Showers could even linger into our Saturday.

Rain totals is looking between a tenth to a quarter of an inch with higher amounts in thunderstorms. But looking at our rainfall model it is showing areas could get up to an inch or more.
However. these are just estimates and things are still uncertain as of now.

We have more active and wet weather expected to arrive later this week along with colder temperatures. That's why I am issuing a Weather Authority First Alert Action Day for Friday. due to the wet weather and possible flooding risks.
Daytime highs is expected to be in the low 60s and pretty cold overnights. Tracking more sunshine and warmer temperatures early next week.
