FIRST ALERT ACTION DAY: Tracking showers today and throughout the week.

Our second weather system has arrived, and it continues to bring showers to the Desert Southwest. I am tracking chillier temperatures and more rain chances throughout the week.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA) - I've been tracking rain showers and storms this afternoon, and we will continue to have lingering showers through early Wednesday morning.

So due to the wet weather the Desert Southwest is under a Weather Authority First Alert Action Day through tonight.

We had light showers yesterday evening and again today! Check out our 24-hour rain totals for parts of Yuma County. Most areas got over a tenth of an inch. Areas in the east and mountains received higher amounts.

The rain did bring a beautiful rainbow in Yuma County. Take a look at some of the photos that were sent in from our viewers.

Temperatures will continue to cool down, and by tomorrow, it will be colder and pretty chilly. We will have overnight lows in the low 50s and mid to upper 40s. Make sure to bundle up and dress warm.

A current lower pressure system followed by another system will keep our temperatures well below normal for the rest of the week, as well as bring more rain opportunities.

As of now, we have multiple days where we could see more light showers. Right now, the highest day is looking Friday and into Saturday morning for widespread showers.

With the possible showers we get from now through Thursday, rain accumulation is possible.

Totals are looking low and light, but still could be measurable.

We have multiple chances for showers this week, with colder temperatures. It's also SWEATER WEATHER! Daytime highs will be in the mid to upper 60s. Overnight lows will be in the low 50s and upper 40s.

Tracking clearer, drier, and slightly warmer temperatures early next week.
