Tracking chillier temperatures and possible rain chances this week

Another weather system will arrive this week, bringing more chances for showers and colder temperatures to the Desert Southwest.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA-TV)- Happy Monday! This afternoon has been a great and pleasant day. Temperatures were cooler than normal, with highs in the mid-70s.

Going into the evening, it will get pretty chilly where lows will be cooling down into the low 60s and even mid to low 50s.

There are also chances where we could get some light showers this evening and during the overnight hours.

We could see showers and isolated storms pop-up tonight and during the overnight hours.

Another lower-pressure system is moving into the Desert Southwest this week, where our temperatures will trend well below-normal, and we could get more rain opportunities during the week.

As of now, we have multiple days where we could see light showers. Right now, the highest day is looking later this week.

Rain totals are looking low, these are totals within the time frame of Monday-Wednesday night.

Higher amounts will be in thunderstorms.

Tracking more showers throughout the week with pretty chilly temepratures this week.

Take a look at our daytime highs and lows in the days ahead. We will see highs in the mid to upper 60s and lows in the low 50s and upper 40s. It's finally SWEATER WEATHER!
