Hotter temperatures for the weekend

Tracking a round of summer-like heat moving in this weekend. We will have moderate heat risks with highs near or at the 110 mark on Sunday and Monday.

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Hot and dry conditions are expected to increase this weekend and into next week in the Desert Southwest with temperatures trending about 10 degrees above-normal.

With this round of heat it will bring in Moderate Heat Risks to the area on Sunday and Monday.

Plenty of sunshine will be in the forecast with hotter than normal temperatures. The hottest days will be Sunday and Monday where highs will be near or over 110 degrees.

Remember with these types of temperatures make sure to practice heat safety all hours of the day to prevent heat-related illnesses.
