El Centro to host Memorial Day ceremony at Bucklin Park
EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - The City of El Centro will be hosting a ceremony in observance of Memorial Day.
The event will be at Bucklin Park on Monday, May 26 at 10 a.m.
Partnering with VFW Post 9305, the ceremony is paying tribute to those who served in the military.
VFW Commander Lee Quarcelino is planned to be a guest speaker.
"All of us have a duty to remember those who gave their lives for our freedoms," said Mayor Sonia
Carter. "This ceremony is an opportunity for our community to come together and show our
gratitude for their sacrifice."
