FIRST ALERT ACTION DAY: Strong winds and dust for Imperial County through tonight
A lower pressure system is bringing in windy and breezy with below normal temperatures today and through the weekend.
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - A lower pressure system arrives today which will bring noticeable cooler temps and breezy to locally windy conditions through this weekend.

A Wind Advisory is issued and will go into effect for Imperial Valley and El Centro 5 p.m. this evening through 10 p.m. tonight for strong west winds and gusts up to 45 MPH.
A Wind Advisory is issued for the southwest corner of Imperial County, which includes Ocotillo. This will stay in effect through 5 a.m. Sunday for strong west winds and gusts up to 55 MPH.

There's also an Air Quality Alert through Saturday due to the gusty winds bringing widespread dust in Imperial County.

A FIRST ALERT ACTION DAY is in effect through TONIGHT for the Imperial County area due to strong winds and dust.
We will have breezy and windy conditions through this evening with winds coming from the west and northwest and gusts between 25-45 MPH.

More winds are expected Saturday afternoon/evening where patchy blowing dust and unhealthy air quality still be a concern especially in Imperial County.
We will still have winds coming from the west with wind gusts between 30-35 MPH.

A quick warming in our temperatures, along with the return of lighter winds is expected next week as high pressure builds over the western United States.
