Warming beginning this weekend with hotter days to come

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY-TV) - Calmer winds will be with us on this Friday, but still remaining breezy.

Stronger winds will be expected in Imperial County where highest gusts could reach 20 MPH, gustier winds will stay further west.

Dry and quiet conditions are expected to continue for the next several days.

Warming will begin this weekend and come Sunday afternoon highs will rise near to evening slightly above our seasonal average of 105.

By Saturday evening, gustier winds will rejoin for Imperial County where the highest peak gusts could reach 30 MPH.

Patchy blowing dust will be possible between 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

Temperatures are heating up, daytime highs will push towards 110+ late next week for the Desert Southwest.

Be sure to take the proper precautions to protect against the dangerous heat.
