UPDATE: Suspect extradited, two adults found fatally stabbed in backyard

Two homeowners were fatally stabbed on July 24th

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department (YPD) responded to a domestic disturbance call and upon arrival found two adults fatally stabbed in the backyard.

YPD went to the neighborhood around Yuma High School on 9th Avenue just after 5 p.m.

The two adults, Kenneth Baese, 60, and Eileen Baese, 57, were stabbed multiple times.

The suspect who lived on the premises who is also the brother of the victim was still on the property and also had multiple stab wounds.

The suspect was taken to Yuma Regional Medical Center and then flown to Phoenix for further medical treatment and is said to be in stable condition.

He was arrested and booked into the Maricopa County Jail on a warrant for 1st degree murder, he will also be extradited back to Yuma.

Police cannot confirm what led to this brutal attack.

We spoke with several neighbors, but nobody wanted to talk on camera.

This is an active investigation and YPD encourages anyone with information to contact them immediately.
