Two arrested at Indio gas station for attempting to smuggle meth, fentanyl

INDIO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - US Customs and Border Protection says two people were arrested for attempting to smuggle illegal drugs through Interstate 10.

At about 2:06 p.m. on Wednesday, agents stopped a Dodge Ram at a Chevron Gas station on Jackson Street.

A search of the vehicle had agents discover bags inside a speaker box in the floorboard, which contained meth and fentanyl.
