IMPERIAL, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - US Customs and Border Protection says El Centro Sector agents arrested two people who were found to be previously convicted for sexual offenses.

At about 2:44 a.m. on Sunday, agents arrested a group of six people in the Imperial County Sand Dunes.

A 34-year-old man in the group was discovered to have a previous sexual offense involving a minor younger than three-years-old.

On the following day at about 6:30 a.m., two more people were arrested in the mountains of the Jacumba Wilderness.

One of the men was previously convicted and sentenced to time in jail.

All the people involved in the two arrests were taken to the El Centro Sector Processing Center, according to US Customs and Border Protection.
