Yuma Police host ‘Coffee with a Cop’ at Cafecito

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - The Yuma Police Department held "Coffee with a Cop" at Cafecito on June 1.

It's an event which invites locals to have coffee and talk with those who help our community.

“A lot of time with policing we see, we meet folks from Yuma on the worst day of their life. This is kind of an opportunity for them just to come over here to a neutral setting and get to know who we are without any stress or anything like that. They are coming here to have coffee with us," says Sgt. Pete Olea.

Another Coffee with a Cop event is planned to be held in October.
