Agents arrest migrant with previous kidnapping conviction

(KYMA, KECY) - Wellton Station Border Patrol agents made a post on social media about an arrest made of a migrant who was found in the desert east of Yuma.

Agents found 34-year-old Jose Fernando Martinez Meza who was discovered to be a convicted criminal.

Martinez Meza's records indicated he was previously convicted of kidnapping for ransom and was then arrested for being part of a smuggling organization.

He will be facing charges again for re-entering the United States.
