Crash in Imperial Sand Dunes leads to one death
EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY) - According to California Highway Patrol (CHP), a UTV overturned in the Imperial Valley Sand Dunes resulting in one death.
On April 15 at about 1:09, a UTV with four occupants was going through the side of a sand dune when it began to overturn.
One person was partially ejected and had fatal injuries.
CHP arrived on scene and noted the passengers were wearing safety equipment except for the person who died.
The crash is still being investigated and impairment was not noted as a factor.
