$233 million worth of cocaine and marijuana seized off San Diego coast

SAN DIEGO (KYMA, KECY) - The U.S. Coast Guard off-loaded more than $200 million worth of drugs in San Diego Thursday.

The drugs were seized from a ship in the Pacific Ocean.

The Coast Guard says it recovered 11,000 pounds of cocaine and upwards of 4,000 pounds of marijuana from the ship.

Officials say the street value of the drugs is $223 million.

Authorities hadn't made any arrests as of Thursday afternoon.
