Apparently were on their way to the U.S.-Mexico border

VERACRUZ, Mexico (KYMA, KECY/CNN) - Mexican authorities report finding 600 migrants hidden in two trailers traveling through the state of Veracruz.

Mexico's National Migration Agency (NMA) confirms that agents found 145 women and 455 men in closed boxcars Friday. They were apparently heading north towards the U.S.-Mexico border.

According to the NMA, the migrants are from the following 12 countries:

  • Guatemala
  • Honduras
  • Nicaragua
  • Cuba
  • El Salvador
  • Venezuela
  • Bangladesh
  • Ecuador
  • Ghana
  • India
  • The Dominican Republic
  • Cameroon

The agency says it has already begun processing the migrants. It will soon decide whether to send them back to their home countries at a later date or not.
