Yuma Police Department responds to early morning aggravated assault

Shots were fired on scene

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - On November 19, Yuma Police Department officers responded to a call on South Palo Verde Lane.

The call was received at about 3:48 a.m. and had officers find a disorderly 32-year-old man.

Shots were fired during contact.

The man ran back into his residence when a Special Enforcement Team was sent out.

After several hours, the man surrendered and was transported to the Yuma Regional Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries.
