Standoff at Walmart Neighborhood Market

Yuma Police hand activity over to Deputies

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - Heavy police activity was spotted at the Walmart Neighborhood Market on 8th Street, while three or four people barricaded themselves in a car.

Officers say it happened around 11 Wednesday evening. Police asked each person to get out of the car for an unknown reason.

After a few failed attempts, one person was seen running away from the officers.

It is unclear if that suspect is still on the loose.

The Yuma County Sheriff's Office (YCSO) is the agency handling the incident.

KYMA.com has reached out to the YCSO for more details. They have not yet released any new details.
