Man taken to hospital after crashing into semi-trailer

YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KECY) - A 21-year-old was flown to the hospital after crashing into a semi-trailer on Tuesday.

The Yuma Police Department said it received reports of a crash with injuries close to 5 p.m. at the 7900 block of E 30th Street.

Police said the 21-year-old was driving a 2007 Chevy Cobalt eastbound on 30th Street when he crashed into a parked semi-trailer. Thankfully, no one was inside the trailer.

As for the 21-year-old, paramedics transported him to Yuma Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, but he was later flown to Phoenix. Police say he is in stable condition.

Police continue to investigate the case.
