Visible in captured footage, the child walks along the Tijuana River into American territory. That's when law enforcement quickly responded to the scene, and rescued her from the hazardous environment.

Upon questioning her, they determined she was from Guatemala. Agents then transported her to the station for processing and notified both Guatemalan consulates and well as Health and Human Services.

The Yuma Union High School District also made history this week with their announcement of Jessica Slaughter as the new head varsity football coach.

Slaughter has been an assistant with the Gila Ridge program for the past four seasons, but this is the first time in the history of Yuma Union High School District Athletics that a female coach is taking the reigns of an entire football program.

The 27-year-old is also a Gila Ridge graduate who has experience as the head track and field coach for the Hawks. She is also the 4th consecutive Hawks football coach that's taken the reigns of the program before the age of 30; after the previous coaching eras of Tyler Kosel, Corey Semler and John Ellegood.

Slaughter is only the 3rd female to become a head football coach at the prep level in the entire state of Arizona.

She plead guilty to being a “minimal participant” in helping her husband run his drug empire.

Coronel was charged in a one-count criminal complaint with conspiring to distribute one kilogram or more of heroin, five kilograms or more of cocaine, 1,000 kilograms or more of marijuana and 500 grams or more of methamphetamines for unlawful importation into the country, according to a news release from the Justice Department.

The complaint also cited her alleged involvement in Guzman’s 2015 escape from a Mexican prison. As part of Coronel’s plea, she will not be required to cooperate with U.S. authorities.
