“Pando bridge” in Mexicali remains closed

MEXICALI, Baja California (KYMA, KECY) - Mexicali officials closed the crossing of the Pando bridge located in Lázaro Cárdenas in both directions to inspect the structural damage.

They say heavy cargo vehicles are prohibited from driving into the bridge and making left turns for traffic from north to south down Lázaro Cárdenas boulevard.

The partial closure of this cruise is coordinated by the Municipal Traffic Police, responsible for not obstructing traffic. Roughly more than 115,000 vehicles cruise every day, so if you visit Mexicali and it is inevitable to travel through this bridge, take your time or look for alternative routes.

The bridge is one of the busiest roads that connects the San Felipe highway and Mexicali's port of entry.
