Hundreds of fans enjoy Imperial Valley Comic-Con 2020

EL CENTRO, (KYMA, KECY)- Hundreds of pop culture fans filled the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Sports Pavilion Saturday, for the Imperial Valley Comic-Con 2020.

Whether you were dressed as a Mandalorian or a web slinger, the Imperial Valley Comic-Con gives residents a real comic book convention feel but on an intimate scale.

Imperial Valley Comic-Con Founder, Ruben Najera said that if you were looking for an exclusive action figure or meet your favorite celebrity, there was something for everyone.

"This is the only place that you're going to be able to do it here in Imperial County or anywhere surrounding. Mexicali, Yuma. There's nothing as big as this event in terms of a comic convention and pop culture fandom event you know. So it's just exciting with all the amazing guests we have here. The hundreds of vendors, the amazing panels that are going to take place. It's just fun for everyone all day."

Najera said the event continues to grow every year.
