Imperial Valley Home School Academy students bring historical characters to life

EL CENTRO, Calif. (KYMA, KECY)- The Imperial Valley Home School Academy hosted its 10th Annual "Living History Museum" on Friday.

Students research a historical person of interest who is either living or deceased and bring that character to life in the "Living History Museum Day," with costumes and props and storyboards.

The event is part of the academy's project-based learning and covers skills in social studies, language arts, public speaking and art.

Family and friends were invited on campus to celebrate each student's hard work.
