Former Warriors inducted into San Pasqual High School Hall of Fame

WINTERHAVEN, Calif. (KYMA, KECY)- Six former student-athletes from San Pasqual High School were inducted into the Warrior's 3rd "Annual Hall of Fame Ceremony" Saturday.

Players from 1971 to 1980 were honored for their accomplishments on the playing field.

Daniel Golding, a Board Member of the San Pasqual Warriors Hall of Fame Association said not only does the ceremony pay tribute to athletes from the past, but the hall of fame association hopes to pave the way for future student-athletes by continue raising scholarship funds at the event every year.

"To encourage them to go on to higher education and things like that. To pursue to their dreams. And so we really want to use this as an opportunity to help them. Help the community.  You know achieve something beyond high school. And so if we can help them do that then I think the whole community succeeds."

The San Pasqual Warriors Hall of Fame Association raised close to $13,000 in scholarships alone in 2019.
