St. George, Utah adds huge slides to City Hall parking deck

ST. GEORGE, UT. (NBC,KYMA) - The city of St. George, Utah has added some unexpected whimsey to its City Hall Plaza.

A new public park opened recently in the plaza that features two huge slides connected to the facility's parking deck.

People can use the slides to get the ground floor quickly if they are short on time or to just have some fun.

The slides measuring 74-feet and 62-feet empty out in the plaza's new park, that also features mounds and tunnels and in-ground trampolines for kids and bench swings if you just want to relax.

Officials say they want people visiting city hall to have a little fun while, and even attract residents to spend time in the heart of downtown.

The slides, just like the parking deck, are free and open to the public.
