Fiat Chrysler mails $1000 checks to AZ consumers
Over 1,600 restitution checks mailed
YUMA, Ariz. (KYMA, KSWT, KECY) - A popular automaker is paying certain customers up to 1,000 dollars in compensation.
Fiat Chrysler has already mailed restitution checks to over 1,600 Arizona consumers.
Owners or leasers of certain Jeep Grand Cherokee or Ram 1500 3.0L EcoDiesel vehicles are eligible to receive checks from the automaker.
This is part of a 2019 settlement between the Arizona Attorney General's Office and the auto-maker, regarding its so-called "EcoDiesel" vehicles.
The settlement resolved claims of fraud, deceptive marketing, selling, and leasing of 2014-2016 models of said vehicles as being better for the environment.
Under the settlement, Fiat Chrysler agreed to pay restitution checks to Arizona consumers in amounts up to 1,000 dollars for qualifying vehicles.
