ATLANTA (NBC, KYMA) - Authorities have arrested a suspect in connection with an arson attempt on the ICE building in Atlanta Tuesday night.

Inique Hinton, 31, of Douglasville was arrested Friday, according to the U.S. Attorney in Atlanta, Theofore Hertzberg.

Hinton has been charged with damaging a building by use of fire or explosives and damaging government property.

According to authorities, Hinton walked by the ICE building on October 20 and tried to start a fire using an incendiary device.

He ignited the item and threw it, hitting a fence and starting a fire.

Hertzberg said the individual was caught on camera and authorities tried to pursue him at the time but were unsuccessful.

Hinton was arrested around 6 p.m. Eastern at a residence in Cobb County.
