Food truck workers in Florida flee from officers during ICE raid

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CBS, KYMA) - Three food truck workers were detained during an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raid in Tallahassee on September 25, prompting the owners to shutter the business after the remaining workers quit in fear, according to local reports.

Security footage provided to Storyful by the establishment, Chile & Chili's Taqueria Tallahassee, shows several workers running away from officers during the ICE raid in Florida Friday.

Later footage shows officers handcuffing the workers and escorting them to a vehicle.

The three workers are from Guatemala and were in the process of finalizing their immigration paperwork before they were detained, according to news outlet WCTV.

One of the owners of the business said that the remaining workers, who were all immigrants residing in the U.S. legally, quit in fear, WCTV reported.

According to WCTV, local organizations were planning a rally on Wednesday to protest the incident.

The owner of Chile & Chili's also started a GoFundMe to help the families of the detained workers with living expenses.
