Hannah Einbinder detained while protesting Israeli prime minister outside U.N.

NEW YORK (CBS, KYMA) - Emmy Award-winning actress Hannah Einbinder was detained by police while protesting Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu outside of the United Nations (U.N.) Headquarters in New York Thursday, video shows.

Footage from Sunrise Movement and Jewish Voices for Peace shows the "Hacks" star being led away by officers in zip-tie handcuffs.

"Free Palestine! Netanyahu out of New York! No bombs on Lebanon, no bombs on Iran! Stop the genocide," Einbinder yells.

Over 100 people were arrested outside the headquarters Thursday as they protested ahead of Netanyahu's address at the 81st General Assembly, news outlets reported citing police.

NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch said thousands of officers would be patrolling the area around the headquarters in preparation for multiple anti-Netanyahu protests, according to news reports.
