49ers owner Jed York arrested in Ohio

(NBC, KYMA) - San Francisco 49ers owner Jed York was arrested in Ohio over the weekend.

York was taken into custody in East Palestine, Ohio Sunday.

He was initially booked into the county jail for possessing criminal tools and suspicion of engaging in prostitution.

The latter charge was amended to disorderly conduct and York pleaded no contest. He was released after posting a $5,000 bond and sentenced to one day in jail for both offenses.

York was credited with one day served and fined $1,150.

In a statement, the Niners said they will not be commenting on the legal matter, and said it has been "resolved."

The NFL said it was aware of the situation and it will be reviewed under the personal conduct policy.
