One dead, four injured in a mass shooting in Lexington

LEXINGTON, Ky. (NBC, KYMA) - Four people were shot and one person killed in a mass shooting at Charles Young Park in Lexington during the Eastend Days event Saturday night.

16-year-old Di-zhon Robertson suffered a fatal gunshot wound and died at the University of Kentucky Hospital emergency room last night.

The Fayette County Coroner's Office identified Robertson and ruled his manner of death a homicide.

According to Lexington Police Chief Lawrence Weathers, two victims were children, who were four and 14-years-old, and two adults.

During a press conference Sunday, Lexington Mayor Linda Gorton announced support services would be open to the public Monday.

So far, no arrests have been made and an investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
