Deputies in Colorado free deer trapped in slackline course

CONIFER, Colo. (CBS, KYMA) - Deputies with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) freed a deer whose antlers became tangled in a slackline course in Conifer, Colorado on March 3.

Bodycam footage shows three animal control officers approach the deer and use garden loopers to cut it free.

JCSO shared the footage of the rescue to social media and commended the teamwork of the officers.

"Calls like this highlight the skill, compassion, and teamwork our animal control officers bring every day. Not every rescue involves sirens, sometimes it just takes the right tools and a calm approach," the sheriff's office said.
