At least ten injured in shooting in Oklahoma

EDMOND, Okla. (NBC, KYMA) - Police in Oklahoma are investigating a mass shooting that left multiple people injured late Sunday night.

Authorities say the shooting happened just after 9 p.m. Central at Spring Creek Park, near Arcadia Lake, in Edmond, where a large gathering of young people was underway.

Investigators report two masked suspects opened fire, sending at least ten victims to nearby hospitals, while others sought treatment on their own.

The victims are said to be in a range of conditions.

"I do not have an update on those conditions at this time. However, there will be more victim numbers coming in as some did take their own personal vehicles to the hospital," said Emily Ward, Public Information Officer for the Edmond Police Department.

Officers from multiple agencies responded to the chaotic scene, working through the night to interview witnesses and process evidence.

Police are also reviewing surveillance technology in an effort to identify those responsible.

No suspects are currently in custody, but officials say there is no ongoing threat to the public as the investigation continues.
