Rehab program to trim Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ prison sentence to a year

(NBC, KYMA) - A rehab program could trim Sean 'Diddy' Combs' prison sentence by a year as he is completing the drug abuse rehabilitation program at the Fort Dix Prison Complex in New Jersey.

A spokesman for Combs confirmed that he had been accepted into the program.

Combs has been sentenced to more than four years in prison. With the time served, the Bureau of Prisons listed his release date as May of 2028.

The drug abuse program, which includes intensive therapy, could take off even more time.

Combs' lawyers have said that he had abused drugs, including opiates, in the past, but has been able to get sober while in jail.
