Netflix House to open in Pennsylvania
MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Pa. (NBC, KYMA) - Malls are making a comeback and the King of Prussia Mall in Pennsylvania is leading the charge with the first-ever Netflix House.
The return of an American tradition: Walking around and hanging out at the mall.
"I come for everything honestly they have good food good experiences and just to shop," said Brock Garnett, a Montgomery County resident.
But it's not just holiday sales bringing people in. According to experts, the mall is now serving as an entertainment one stop shop.
"I come for a full experience so I come to eat I come to shop I come to see what's trending," said Bonne Ditmo, a shopper.
According to the International Council of Shopping Centers, malls have nearly doubled the number of experiential offerings in the last decade, and King of Prussia Mall is leading the charge.
"We've been able to attract these really awesome first of their kind experiences like Netflix House, level 99, Dick's House of Sport...we opened camp last year, so we're giving people an additional reason to come to the mall in outside of shopping and dining," said Todd Putt, Marketing Director for King of Prussia Mall.
The latest addition, Netflix House, is preparing to open its doors to the public Wednesday. The immersive experience is free to enter and has food opportunities, shopping, and ticketed games that put people in the middle of their favorite Netflix series.
"For over two decades, fans have welcomed us into their home and let us entertain them and we thought, 'Why not bring them into ours?' And Netflix is a place where the offerings will change throughout the year. We're able to move at the speed of those stories keep up with what fans love most: Deliver to them and give them their hero moment."

Netflix says its opening in Dallas this December and adding a Vegas location in 2027.
"It's a place you can come back here year after year and discover something new, so our hope is to eventually have more of these," Lombardo expressed.
