Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ defense lawyer completes closing arguments
NEW YORK (NBC, KYMA/KECY) - Sean "Diddy" Combs' defense lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, completed his closing arguments Friday, urging the jury to find Combs not guilty.
During his closing arguments, Agnifilo argued prosecutors presented a "fake trial" to criminalize Combs' sexual preferences using it as evidence of a conspiracy.
The defense lawyer added the "crime scene" was Combs' "private sex life," and said the racketeering allegations filed against Combs were not proven during the trial.
However, the defense did not dispute the physical abuse to his then girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.
Combs faces five criminal counts including two counts of sex trafficking and two of transportation to engage in prostitution.
Judge Arun Subramanian said the jury should begin deliberations on Monday.
