New Orleans rings in the new year, drops Fleur de Lis

NEW ORLEANS, Louis. (NBC) - New Orleans rang in the new year with its annual Fleur de Lis drop.

For further context, the six foot, 100-pound, LED Fleur de Lis dropped from atop of Jax Brewery at midnight.

Observers could see the display for miles.

The city's annual fireworks display over the Mississippi River then followed the drop.
