Virginia Representative McEachin dies weeks after reelection
(NBC) - Virginia Democratic Representative Donald McEachin has died.
His death comes just weeks after winning reelection to congress.
McEachin represented Virginia's 4th district, which stretches from Richmond to the North Carolina line, since 2017.
Prior to that, he had served nine years as a state senator and eight as a delegate.
He passed away on Monday after nearly a decade with colorectal cancer.
McEachin was 61-years-old.
